Old School House, Louisiana

by Teres
(Louisiana, MO, USA)

We own this building which used to be a school house. Sadly its just used for storage now, but still a great historic example of the Art Deco style. Its called the RR Rowley Annex.

The Annex was built on the Old School building in 1935 and they used Art Deco on the entrance to this building. R. R. Rowley was Internationally know as the foremost authority on fossils and taught Science in this small town until he retired and is now laid to rest in the Cemetery here. Louisiana, Mo has population of 3500 and is located 80 miles north of St. Louis, 30 miles south of Hannibal on the Mississippi.

Lovely memories of Art Deco glory
by: Lesley

What lovely memories that building contains, it must have seen a lot of life in it's time. It's definitely worth preserving for the town. I do hope you will treasure it.
